Derrien Relyea — The Dragon Warrior
I am Derrien Relyea, sometimes known as the Dragon Warrior. I am a storyteller, poet, and author including my signature fantasy series Darque Legends. 

Darque Legends is an entire world of fantasy creatures and characters written as the Dragon Clan is forced to enter the Black War. Full of Dragons, Human Warriors, Elves, and more, the story will take you from the castle of the High King, at Evanntyr, to the Dragon's Den of Drekinn village, home of the Warrior Brotherhood, deep into Darkling Forest and beyond.

Among many others, you will meet the Warrior sisters — Darque, Storrm, and Fryya — alongside their LifeBond partners: Gunnarr the Mighty Blue, Mystynn the Green, and Krydann. Together, they fight to defend a world on the edge of prophecy, peril, and legend.

Darque Legends: The Black War Begins is the story of Darque and her sister Storm and the trials and errors they face on the quest to free their family and friends from the Black. The story tells of the training these two warriors have received from birth from their Battle Commander father. This training leads them to the fulfillment of the prophecy that foretells of Darque defending the Dragon Clan and becoming the Battle Commander. Joining in a blood bond with dragons the teams come together to defend the inhabitants and all of mankind as well as dragon-kind from complete annihilation.

This book is exquisitely written with details that place you in the battle with Darque and her dragon Gunnar as they learn to protect with their many gifts and build a bond that goes far beyond blood. The author brings to life every detail in a way that leaves you longing to know what happens next and how the warriors fare. I look forward to reading the remaining book in the series. This is an excellent book for lovers of fantasy, folklore, dragons, and adventure.

If you like dragon lore, you'll love this book! There is a familiarity with the dragons and their riders, almost immediately. You'll recognize many traits and characteristics of what we've come to expect from tales of dragons, but this story isn't a retelling of other stories. It has many unique plot twist, including several love stories contained within all the adventure and excitement! The tale comes alive in your imagination. The author's attention to detail paints a world where you can see and feel, what they see and feel! The pace of the adventure, the mystery of the unknown, keeps your interest, page after page, as each mystery solved, turns up many more! It's an amazing tale! Follow along, as their legend begins!
